CEJHS students and staff had a little fun today, September 25, as we introduced our new Capturing Kids’ Hearts character trait for the month of October: Self-Direct!

Ms. Jones, Mrs. Friedel, and Ms. Remi Vinson took part in a fun skit showing students what being self-directed looks like—and what it definitely does not look like! For our K–8 students, being self-directed means making positive choices, staying focused, taking responsibility, setting goals, and doing the right thing even when no one is reminding you.

Throughout October, students will participate in lessons and activities focused on this important trait. We are excited to encourage, celebrate, and recognize students who demonstrate what it means to be Self-Directed each day.

We can’t wait to see our Warriors continue making great choices and living the Warrior Way!
